Summer essential knowledge to teach you how to maintain truck tires!

2023-02-06

Tip 1: maintain correct tire pressure

Generally, the front and rear tire pressure standards are different, so you must refer to the tire pressure data in the truck manual provided by the truck manufacturer.

It is well known that the air in the tire is easy to expand under high temperature. If the tire pressure is too high, the tire will burst. If you choose to reduce the tire pressure at this time, it will lead to two consequences: 1. Shorten the service life of the tire, 2. Increase the fuel consumption, which would have high operating costs, so do not reduce the pressure. However, if the pressure in the tire is too high, it may cause the tire to burst, which is not conducive to driving safety. Therefore, you must form the habit of regularly checking the tire pressure in summer, and check it at least once a half month.

Tip 2: Refuse to overload

When the truck is overloaded, it will consume more fuel, at the same time, it will increase the burden of the braking system and transmission system, and shorten the service life of the vehicle. What's more, overloading of trucks will increase the tire pressure and increase the tire burst rate, so we must not overload when transporting goods!

Tip 3: Clean up the tire debris regularly

Due to the complex driving environment of the truck, it is inevitable that some sundries, such as small stones and screws, will be trapped in the gap of the tire. Card users must pay attention to the fact that these sundries may cause great damage to tyres and affect driving safety.

In order to avoid accidents, it is recommended that card users use special tools to clean up. If debris gets into the tire, it is recommended to send it to a professional truck maintenance center for treatment.

Tip 4: Do a good job of anti-sticking for new tires on the road

A lot of cardfriends will directly install new tires on the road after buying them. This is actually wrong, because the inner and outer pipes will stick together when there is no air. If you pull down the tires hard, it will cause damage to the new tires. Therefore, when using new tires, you must do a good job of anti-sticking treatment. Before loading, you can remove the tires and separate them with lime powder!

Tip 5: Reasonable braking to reduce tire wear

During transportation, braking is unavoidable. The tire tread will rub against the ground, resulting in tire wear. Therefore, carders must keep the distance between vehicles during transportation to reduce unnecessary braking. At the same time, for your own safety, you must always pay attention to the depth of the tread pattern on the tire. If the tread pattern is nearly flat, it will reduce the handling ability on the slippery road. At the same time, the outer tire wall is thin, which is also easy to cause a tire blowout. You must replace it in time.

The maintenance of truck tires is like adding a layer of diamond cover to the outside of the truck. Especially in summer, the card friends should pay more attention to it. For personal safety, they must take a small notebook to remember it!
